The Danish Pasteur Society

The collaboration between DMS and the Danish Pasteur Society was established at the General Assembly on 13 November 2017.

The purpose of the the society, is to provide funding for Danish research in microbiology, immunology and the associated sciences. The support is granted for study tours or studies abroad; including at the "Institut Pasteur" or similar institutes in France.

The Danish Pasteur Society travel grant 2019

On behalf of the Danish Pasteur Society, DMS is awarding travel grants to students and researchers in microbiology, immunology and related science. The grant can be applied by DMS members who wish to qualify through a study tour, active participation in symposia, possibly congresses, and in special cases courses at "Institut Pasteur" or at similar microbiological institutions abroad. Usually support is not given to pregraduate study trips below candidate level.

The following requirements must be met for your application to be considered for the Danish Pasteur Society's travel grant:

  • You must be a member of DMS
  • The grant must cover expenses related to your stay abroad

The travel grant award will take place at the DMS annual congress in November. The following year, the grant recipient are invited to present at the DMS Congress about their stay abroad.

  • Motivated application
  • CV
  • Budget with requested amount
  • Possibly recommendations, invitations or approval of study affiliation

When assessing your application, we will look at the extent to which your stay will advance your career in microbiology, and how you can express this clearly in your application of approx. 300 words.
